The 14th is coming up .. Clay and I will celebrate our 1 year anniversary.
Fall quarter at OC is halfway. I have 4 weeks left and I am looking forward to the down time. Work has become dependent on me to work late nights and early mornings. I'm working graveyard shifts on the weekends to keep my hours while I go to school. Monday mornings are the hardest for me to stay awake and focused during lecture. Winter quarter I will try to get later classes so that I can nap in the mornings after the boys head off to school. I guess the boys are doing well in school I have not had complaints from their teachers.
Halloween was a hoot. Jack was Igor, Oscar was the Mad Scientist, Anisa was their construct. We hung out with the Ster-Jen Places, and the Lillys. Those kids are the greatest. I love my nieces and nephews. This month we will be celebrating Noah's first birthday. Oh, I'm so happy that Braddah and Nichole is expecting their first. Yay!!

what now?
As usual I have way too much on my plate so I've had to make a few sacrifices to make things work.
Anisa started eighth grade. She is getting A's. I think it is too easy for her and she should try to get into better classes. Her english teacher agrees with me and has decided to assign her to read harder books. Her first assignment is to read "The Last of the Moahicans". She told her teacher she doesn't understand it. Her teacher told her to read slower and visualize everything going on in the book. I told Anisa to be happy she didn't make her read "Weathering Heights".
Jack is struggling through the fourth grade. He refuses to do anything but sit there and cry. I don't know what I am going to do with this kid. I'm getting pressure from people to send him away like they can do a better job. I disagree. It's coming down to sitting next to him during class all day in order to bully him into doing what is expected of him. I'm hoping that with the threat that his grandmother may or may not be substituting at his school might motivate him to try harder.
Oscar is bullying his brother. He always yells and fights with everyone trying to get the last correct word in the argument. It is a little frustrating. In his third grade class his teacher always says how wonderful and smart he is. That boy got her snowed!!
I am attending college trying to get a good grade point average to keep the grant money coming. I cannot attend school without the money. My chemistry class is brutal. My teacher is not a good lecturer and he isn't very interesting. My math teacher is better and helps me get through the day. I even signed up for a 2 credit PE class so that I am registered as a full time student.
I work at a hotel. I picked up the odd shifts in hopes to make up time that I miss for going to school. My boss has me scheduled for graveyards weekends. It's quiet and it helps me get through my homework.
Clay tries to keep the house in order while everyone is running around. He really stepped up to the plate and I appreciate his support. He cooks. It isn't the greatest but its a step forward from top ramen and microwave things. He loves the forman so we are stocked with potatoes and ketchup so he can grill to his hearts delight. Sometimes when I am not tired I will cook for my family and he and the kids say that I don't make enough to last through the next day. Apparently the less Clay has to cook the happier the house is. Clay is home in the evenings so he usually has homework duty too. Trying to get Jack to discuss school and actually bringing his work home is like pulling teeth. I will enjoy the day when Jack gets his confidence and becomes a productive young man.
Well, that just about brings us up to date to what is going on at my house. Until next time... take care.

April 13th, 2008
Today I decided to start a blog. Sometimes I feel out of the loop so I decided to join the circle, scoot over! My life right now is pretty full. Noe and I are at weight watchers. I kick box 3 times a week. I attend college and I am enrolled in 15 credits currently. I work nights at a hotel as front desk. So what else could I fit in my day?
Anisa is trying to finish a book. Her teachers are pushing for her to get it published. I told her it would be neat if that happened. She is very bright in school. She excels in all of her classes. At home she is a typical teenager. She barely listens, she is always on the phone or the computer, and she is annoyed with her brothers.
Jack tries very hard, only if you are looking. If you aren't looking his favorite thing to do is watch television or snack. He is a very picky eater and he does homework only if you hound him about it. He reminds me a lot of Kawika, only because Kawika just wanted to be left alone. Jack will only do things if you pressure him to do it. Sometimes it's a good trait because you know Jack can keep himself entertained but he doesn't really apply himself to do more or try hard.
Oscar is very helpful, very anxious to help, loves to read and do homework. He is a joy and a pleasure to have around if he is by himself, not tired, and not bored. When he is bored he likes to annoy his sister, "bus-up" his brother's lego projects, and cut holes in his clothes.
Clay is my knight in shining armor. He watches our children when he isn't working. He even watches everyone else's kids if he is needed. All he asks for is a home cooked meal he didn't prepare or some quiet time when I'm working and the kids are away. He works for a local software company in the help department. He trouble shoots problems clients are having with their programs. He likes it. His co-workers are geeks like him so they get along fairly well.
The kids keep asking me when are we getting married and I just tell them when he slaps my butt and tells me to get ready we are going to Vegas!
